Temenos, the market-leading banking technology provider, along with Interswitch Group, which is a leading unified payments and digital commerce company in Africa, has announced on June 04, 2026, a partnership to deploy Temenos technology to strengthen the digital banking capability of Interswitch, contribute to its growth, and broaden access to modernize digital banking services in Africa.
It is well to be noted that Interswitch will implement Temenos solutions throughout core banking, payments, digital banking, and wealth management as well as financial crime to deliver cloud-hosted as well as on-premises managed services to financial organizations and hence modernize digital banking services in Africa
This will help institutions to gradually develop their banking platforms and move towards more client-centric business models. The service will also be available in certain sectors across Africa such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, and more.
