July 12, Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, a prominent global insurance and reinsurance company, has launched a new platform designed to advance its digital strategy and drive its data and artificial intelligence agenda forward.

The offering, known as Aspen Data Labs, was created to support the company’s ambition to place a greater focus on data and technology.

The new platform aims to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate business results in underwriting and claims processes. By integrating data analytics and technology into its core operations, Aspen seeks to improve client experiences and overall business performance.

Aspen, known for providing a range of insurance and reinsurance solutions, is leveraging Aspen Data Labs to foster collaboration among employees and partners on data science and AI projects.

This initiative is part of Aspen’s broader strategy to enhance decision support systems and operational efficiencies, ensuring that the company remains competitive in the evolving InsurTech landscape.

Aspen Data Labs will offer access to AI platforms, frameworks, and tools designed to improve key business functions. Additionally, it aims to establish partnerships with leading third-party innovators to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the company.

To underscore its commitment to this new data strategy, Aspen Data Labs is hosting its inaugural AI Data Summit in London from July 16-18. This event, organised in collaboration with innovation specialist LMarks, will provide a forum for employees and external suppliers to pitch ideas for improving underwriting and claims processes through data and technology.

Christian Dunleavy, Group Chief Underwriting Officer, said, “Technology, and increasingly the potential of AI, is vital to our strategy. Aspen Data Labs will be instrumental in enhancing our decision support systems to bring solutions that improve our operations and customer outcomes. By bolstering our partner ecosystem with our internal capabilities, we are enhancing our capacity to innovate and deliver greater value, ensuring Aspen remains the partner of choice now and in the future.”

Rob Houghton, Chief Operating Officer, Aspen, remarked, “I’m delighted to introduce Aspen Data Labs, a key step in advancing our AI plans and creating great solutions that enhance our experiences with Aspen for our customers, colleagues and business.
