WorkFusion announced that it was a winner of MetLife’s collab 2.0, an open innovation platform designed to match new technology with business challenges within MetLife Japan. The initiative was run by LumenLab, MetLife Asia’s Singapore-based innovation center.

WorkFusion was selected along with Moneytree and Montoux as winners of a contract with MetLife Japan out of 111 applicants from 24 countries. MetLife selected WorkFusion to automate high volume, manually intensive business processes such as claim verification using its unique combination of robotic process automation (RPA), cognitive automation, and work orchestration, to reduce turnaround time, improve service delivery, and increase business agility. MetLife joins a growing roster of insurance customers that are using WorkFusion Smart Process Automation’s (SPA) unique combination of RPA and cognitive automation to create a digital claims handling capability.

“For the past 150 years, MetLife has been at the forefront of innovation. Thanks to LumenLab’s collab 2.0, we are continuing that tradition by connecting with cutting-edge startups from around the globe to develop new solutions that help people lead healthier and more fulfilled lives,” said Sachin N. Shah, President and CEO, MetLife Japan.

“Our mission is to help companies achieve digital operational excellence,” said WorkFusion’s President Alex Lyashok. “Insurance companies see AI and RPA as technology levers to better serve customers, grow revenue and reduce cost, and we are thrilled that yet another leading insurance organization has selected WorkFusion SPA as an end-to-end automation solution.”
