UK-based myPOS Europe has re-launched its Mobile Checkout solution with a new feature for merchants to accept in-app payments.

The solution was first created in 2016 to enable online checkout integrations. The upgraded version will allow in-app integration. With the new Mobile Checkout, merchants will also be able to accept payments in their apps, and customers will not be redirected to external sites.

myPOS verifies the card data and processes the transaction. The data is not stored on the merchant’s app. However, consumers can choose to save their card details (encrypted) into myPOS.

Currently, myPOS in-app payments gateway accepts Mastercard, Visa, UnionPay International, JCB and Bancontact cards. The firm plans to add other card schemes in the future.

myPOS founder Christo Georgiev said: “Customers are looking for convenience, whether they are shopping in-store, online or via mobile phone. Besides offering them different means of payments, we also want to catch them right where they are – on their smartphones.

“We forecast that mobile apps on both the App Store and Google Play Store, which offer customers the ability to pay through myPOS Checkout, will more than double by the end of 2019, due to active marketing efforts as well as the organic demand from consumers for secure mobile payments.”

The company’s product suite includes a mobile POS device, myPOS account with business Visa card and access to other merchant services.
